Flat Hal Returns To Antarctica With A Friend!
Some experiences are so amazing the moment you get home you want to share it with your friends. Flat Hal had so much fun visiting Antarctica with Flat Stanley he couldn’t wait to share it with Flat Halena.
Our first day it was foggy, and really hard to see — fortunately we planned four days to sail Antarctica! Day two offered sunshine, a penguin colony, penguins swimming alongside the ship, and whales! It was a whale of a good time!
The Flat Friends noticed two things immediately… Antarctica is chilly (especially compared to Texas), and quiet. The main sounds are the gentle lapping of the water against the ship, and the ship’s engine.
It is so quiet it is easy to hear whales blowing out air, and the sound of penguins swimming near the ship.
