The Flat Friends Returned To (Port) Stanley And Our Ship

It was another three hours by 4×4 back to the ship… the majority of that time spent bumping along the trail and chatting with our guide and fellow travelers.

Our visit was the end of January and Flat Halena was shocked the schools were just reopening after summer break! It never occurred to her that kids in the southern hemisphere celebrated Christmas over summer break!

There are so many fun things to learn talking to locals!

Christ Church Cathedral in Stanley—the southernmost Anglican cathedral in the world!

There was more wind, and interesting weather on the horizon, but it had stayed at sea while we enjoyed our day ashore in the Falkland Islands. (Entering and exiting through the capital city, Stanley.)
