The only thing we knew about the Hagerman Wildlife Refuge when we put it on our “blue line” was that it might be a good place to see birds. Given how many birds the flat fellas have tried to photograph around the world , photographing some in Flat Hal’s home state sounded like fun!
Most of the reserve was inaccessible… the lake was high and covering the road through the park. But a lot of birds were hanging out along the road in, making the drive feel very worthwhile.
