The Flat Fellas Couldn’t Resist Doing A Little Bird Watching In The Canary Islands

Having heard canaries were named after the Canary Islands where the birds were first seen, and are native, Flat Hal and Flat Stanley decided to keep their eyes peeled in Arrecife, with hopes of spotting one.

The temperature was wonderful, the sun was out… there was
a strong wind, but otherwise it was a great day for a walk. So maybe the birds would think it was an equally nice day for a flight.

They did spot four birds, a little egret, one that is either a Eurasian Curlew or a Wimbrel, a Rose-Ringed Parakeet, and a Gull, that seems likely to be a lesser black backed, but could be a yellow legged. Turns out the juveniles of some of the gulls look a lot alike.
