Singapore is an amazing place. Home to six million people it is a city-state, which is a fancy way of saying the entire country is really one big city. Athens and Rome were city-states, hundreds of years ago. There are basically three city-states in the world, each famous for different reasons. Monaco—famous for their royal family, and the neighborhood of Monte Carlo, which is often seen in movies. Vatican City—famous for being within the boundaries of Rome, as well as being the center of the Catholic faith. Vatican City is where the Pope lives!
Singapore is the most densely populated of the three. Millions of people live in apartment buildings that are 20 or more stories tall, with so many people coming and going the elevators only stop on every 5th floor. Singapore is a place that embraces advanced technology, the people here work together to make their city a place that is full of gardens and trees, full of life in every way possible.
