Flat Halena Gives Flat Hal Some Postcard Writing Ideas…

Today’s sea day conversation was a little different, Flat Hal was bemoaning how hard it can be to think of what to write on postcards when we are on shore and want to send a message home. Flat Halena suggested we make some pretend postcards from our photos, and practice. The Flat Friends had so much fun they even made pretend stamps for their pretend postcards!

Do you send postcards to friends and family when you go on vacation?

What do you write?

Flat Hal always starts his message from the heart: “Wish you were here!” And he ends his message just as honestly: “Miss you!” It’s the part in between that can be hard for him.

Flat Halena likes to share what she found most exciting during the day. Something she discovered, or hopes the person reading the note will have a chance to experience should they ever come this way.

We agreed the picture on the front has to mean something to us—it can be funny, pretty, something we saw or something we wish we saw, but we just know when we see it “that’s the right postcard.”

Could you give the Flat Friends advice? Share a postcard with us from your hometown?
