A striking sunrise started off a pleasant, if somewhat bouncy day at sea. It was drizzling rain just 20 minutes before this picture, offering clouds for the sun’s rays to illuminate.
Later in the day the Flat Friends noticed this portion of the ocean between Brazil and Uruguay has areas with a greenish tint — they learned it was that color thanks to phytoplankton… a buffet for sea life?
