Portland offered a nice mix of small town feel with plenty of places to get a snack (like a gluten free donut for Flat Jay), buy a unique souvenir, or pick up some essentials like a new book to read on the flight home.
A variety of older buildings caught our eye, including Fort Gorges which we could see from our ship’s pier. We were amazed how much wildlife we could photograph from the ship!
Our day ended with a great view of Portland Head Light as we sailed out past it.
