Other passengers took excursions to nature preserves and penguin colonies in the area, but the Flat Fellas decided to take a little time and walk around the port area with friends.

There were several Kelp Gulls along the beach, a short distance from the pier, who appeared not only accustomed to humans, but to understand if they hovered in the air, and posed for photos some scraps of food might be tossed their way.

The flat fellas saw Imperial Cormorants near the ship, as well as Kelp Gulls and Sparrows. (There were also some Terns that didn’t slow down for pictures.)
