This might sound like a simple question, but for us, it required a lot of thought. Flat Hal and Flat Stanley were invited to join an already planned trip, so they missed those initial discussions over a year ago.
We chose to visit on a ship that would not offer landing options. There are ways to visit the continent safely and wisely, but we decided we wanted to avoid any risk of harming Antarctica while still having the opportunity to see its wonders.
We traveled on a ship that is small enough to get closer than many to the amazing sites, and see the animals, without feeling we were encroaching on their homes.
Antarctica is a continent few get to visit, those who do make an effort to protect it for those who will come after us.
