45 Days Of Travel So Far…

It feels like every day the Flat Friends discover something new and/or exciting. Tomorrow’s port is Adamstown, Pitcairn Island. Where our ship safely and successfully rounded Cape Horn, the Bounty encountered rough seas there — so rough they gave up on sailing west, and sailed east instead! It took the Bounty three months to get from England to Cape Horn.

The HMS Bounty’s sea voyage is famous because the Captain and his crew did not get along. They got so mad at each other that they separated and went in different directions!

Imagine if half of a sports team didn’t like the person leading the team. Then declared they were starting their own team, and anyone who wanted could join them. Suddenly, neither team has enough players, or equipment! Each has half of what they need! This is just one of many reasons a “mutiny” is so upsetting.
