It is hard to believe all the places we have visited and journaled about since boarding this cruise just over four months ago.
It is approximately 24,901 miles around the Earth at the equator. The flat fellas knew they would be traveling far and wide on this adventure… but around the world?

We only missed one port in over 8,000 miles to Antarctica.

Cruising Antarctica Was A Highlight!
Antarctica is a unique continent. With no indigenous human population, it offers a place where various countries set up research stations and continue to learn about our amazing planet and the life on it.

We Did Not Circumnavigate South America… But We Sure Came Close!

Flat Hal’s First Visit To Africa!
Flat Hal and Flat Stanley saw a little bit of everything as they briefly stopped in Africa. From wildlife to docking near “the Door of No Return” in Dakar, Senegal, we saw Africa in several different ways.

The Flat Fellas Went To The Top Of The World

Ice Around Greenland Added To Our Adventure
The miles traveled information we were able to get was for the planned route. As this drawing tries to show, as we came around the southern tip of Greenland there was ice in our path. The ship turned around and sailed away from the ice, and further south, before trying again. At that point we already knew one port was blocked by ice, and we were changing the order of the next two — going straight to Paamiut, the returning south to Qaqortoq.

We More Than Sailed Around The World!

North America, South America, Africa and Europe all had ports of call. Antarctica was a multi-day scenic cruising.
