Visiting The Fourth Largest Town In Greenland— Qaqortoq

#flatstanley #flathal

Greenland has a population of just over 56,000 people. In many countries that would be the population of a single city! Qaqortoq has just over 3,000 people.

Qaqortoq has a similar feel to a rural community in the United States with a population of just a few thousand people.

Unlike a rural community in America, it is common to see Icebergs floating in the harbor, or caught on the rocks that form little islands.

In part because Qaqortoq is such a small town, it was another tender port. The flat fellas had fun trying to snap some photos to show their friends what a tender looks like, as well as what it looks like when they are at the pier. The ship often sets up a small shelter under which we can find a few chairs to wait for the next tender on, as well as a table with small refreshing drinks.
