An overnight port of call in Barcelona started with the flat fellas venturing a little ways out of town to Castell de Sant Marçal. In many respects this first stop set the tone for our time in the Catalan Capital.

The building was impressive, with lots of eye-catching stonework. The castle and church site date back to the 12th century! (Though we visited a more modern building.)

Flat Hal and Flat Stanley arrived in Barcelona with thoughts of seeing Sagrada Familia, a very famous basilica that has been under construction for over a hundred years… sometimes, we get so caught up in what we have heard of, and are looking for, we almost miss equally amazing sights all around us.
