Taking A Moment To Look Back…

Having started in Florida, Flat Hal and Flat Stanley sailed from the Caribbean through the Panama Canal, down the Pacific, around the southern tip, and up the Atlantic, including an unforgettable journey up the Amazon, giving them the opportunity to experience South America from nearly every angle – a virtual circumnavigation of the Continent.

From the Pacific deserts to the Chilean Fjords, up the vibrant Atlantic coast and deep into the Amazon, the flat fellas gained an incredible overview of this continent’s scale and variety… limited by their mode of travel (a cruise ship) and the waterways it could access. (And time.)

They’ve visited eight countries/territories in South America— can you list them? That’s well over half, but not a full set. (Which countries did they miss? Do you know why they didn’t go to two of them?)

Our route allowed us to travel along the vast majority of the continent’s coast… 75% or more by our best guess. Roughly two months in the Southern Hemisphere, visiting South America, covering approximately 19,000 miles!

Where do you think Flat Hal and Flat Stanley will sail to next?
